Pierre Fourneret receveid his M.D. from the Claude Bernard University (Lyon, France) in 1997. He works as a pedo-psychiatrist in Pr. Régis de Villard's  Department of Child Psychopathology (Neurological Hospital - Lyon) and is finishing his Ph.D. in Pr. Jeannerod research team (Institute for Cognitive Science).

His field of interest concerns the Self-consciousness, in particular the cognitive mechanisms underlying the awareness of our own actions. He carried out studies about different aspects of space and action's representation in normal child and in autism.
Attention deficit-hyperactivity disorder and specific learning disabilities in children are also two of his foremost clinical preoccupations.
